We all aspire to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams. But working towards goals is not easy. Enroute to success you will encounter hurdles, obstacles and rough patches. The down times can get really down and dishearten you

Setbacks and disappointments are an integral part of life- there is no escaping them. While you cannot change your circumstances or bypass the hurdles, you can brace yourself up against the difficult times by maintaining a positive frame of mind and being determined to keep going against all odds.

When the going gets tough and you are overwhelmed by the rough times, all you need is something to encourage you and keep you going. Words to inspire the winner in you will do exactly that. This collection of author’s original motivational quotes will lift up your spirits, inspire you and put you back on track.
MeThinks:

Woah !! this one is a hard one to review. It's not a story, nope, nada, but its a collection of quotes.

You know the times when tunnel seems very long, endless, You can't find the opening, can't reach out no matter how long you are walking, no lights to show you the path, nothing to guide you and at some point you almost loose hope, the zeal of keep going, to keep walking, well this book is meant to give you the right push in the right direction, to encourage you during those days.
Everyone faces ups and downs in life and this book can prove to be a good companion during those cloudy days.

The 'Introduction' of this book is a must read. Dr. Roopleen has used her 15 years of experience as a motivational counselor & created a handbook to uplift your spirits when you feel down, when you cannot change your circumstances or bypass the hurdles, this book will help you in bracing yourself to face those difficult times.

This book is mainly a collection of many motivational and enlightening quotes to put you back on track. The right words to inspire, encourage and motivate YOU.
These quotes are categorized under 146 titles like Ability, commitment, confidence, competence, embark, Fate, faith, humility, improvement, obstacles, vision etc. most of the quotes have their own meaning and are significant in their own way.

Where many quotes are quite unique, many are plain and simple. The only problem is its full of Just quotes, I would have appreciated some kind of a story, a back ground or something to read and hold on to. Since every quote had its own beginning and ending, it got slippery at a point creating the monotony, nonetheless, one can pick it and read a random page and yes anyone will be able to connect with it to pull back your frown-lines.

Some quotes from the book--
  • "Don't be afraid of setting high standards for yourself; fear only being contended meeting others' standards that are less than what are capable of achieving. ~ page 18, Achievement
  • "A positive change is the only thing that will enrich you, empower you and help you grow towards a better you." ~ page 32, Change
  • "Fear ends where faith takes over. Doubts end where determination takes over." ~ page 83, Lesson
  • "The secret of success can be summed up as- Purpose, Passion, perseverance." ~ Page 106, Perseverance
  • "If you have dreams, reconnect with them; if you don't dream new dreams." ~ Page 120, Reconnect
  • "Your mind is your only mirror. You are what you think you are. Self-belief is one of the fundamentals of achieving success in life." ~ page 125, Self-belief
  • "Journey of success may seem long and treacherous but the rewards are worth the toil." ~ page 139, Toil
